Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The tool needs six pieces: gender, age, health status, tobacco use, how much coverage you want, and the term length. That is sufficient for carriers to quote rates. Personal details like your name, street address, and full medical history are gathered only if you proceed to an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They represent what each carrier will quote you for the specific health classification you indicated. Underwriting can confirm that class, move you to a better one, or place you in a different class. This site does not represent an insurance offer and does not guarantee any rate or coverage.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name and the form is built from the exact quote you selected. From there it moves to the carriers' encrypted application system. You can begin and finish later if needed, and all signatures happen on your screen. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), oversees the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
The carrier, the benefit amount, and your health history determine whether you will need an exam. Some carriers can make instant decisions for qualified applicants. Each quote tells you if an exam is necessary, might be needed, or is not necessary.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that covers the period when your family or business would face real hardship from losing your income: years with a mortgage, dependents under your roof, or business obligations. Longer terms have higher monthly costs but secure your rate for a longer span. The tool lets you see all of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years at once.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting engine does not ask for your name or contact information. We do not exchange or resell any visitor information, and we measure traffic without tracking cookies. Check the privacy page for the complete inventory of what we collect and who has access to it.
